MR 4.E Analysis on Apostolic Sucession

In this analysis on the Apostolic Succession, Trey Reidle, Felix Read, and I all worked together to provide a deeper meaning and significance of the Apostolic Succession. We show in our idea sketch how Apostolic Succession is present today through our pope and bishops. Also, we show how Christ's authority is passed down through this lineage of Apostolic Successors.

In this Analysis, Felix Read, Trey Reidle and I all worked together in order to provide a deeperthough into the four marks of the Church. We go on to explain each mark of the church and the significance of each. We speak of the Apostolic Succession, the universal catholic church, the holiness which comes directly from Christ and the oneness of the Church.

-Heaven

   State of being

      -in union with God

      -Beatific Vision

   Perfectly purified from sin either in life by the sacraments or in purgatory

   Together with the saints and angels 

-Purgatory

   Follows Particular Judgment

      -judgment by Jesus immediately after death

   Enter when in a state of grace

   Look forward to Heaven

      -sure chance of getting in

   Safe in God's love

      -no further than on earth

   Not Hell

      -only punishment is delay to see God

-Hell

   State of being

   Eternal separation from God

      -death in mortal sin

      -free choice 

   Eternal suffering

      -hatred and unhappiness

   With Satan and demons

      -bitterness and despair for having turned away from God

MR 5.F The last things

The last things of the church are the final stages possible for a soul to be in after death. They include heaven, purgatory, and hell. Along with these things, judgement plays a huge role in a soul's final state. After death a souls's moral decisions are looked into which will decide what they deserve. At the end of time all souls will be judged.

MR 5.F The Last Things

Jesus's plan for redemption granted the reopening of the gates of Heaven. But we are still given three paths to take after death. Heaven, the kingdom of God, purgatory, a place where the wandering souls wait for their sins to be repented and are still able to go to Heaven, and Hell, Satans domain where the damned are suffering eternally and no way out. But heaven, hell,and purgatory are not a certain area, but a state of being for the dead souls.
